Red is the loudest colour in this Visconti series, and it wears the Renaissance reference well. Faceted translucent resin gives the barrel a gem-like feel; each flat catches light at a slightly different angle, so the pen never looks static on a desk.
Palladium plating on the trim holds the brightness in check, and the cap uses a magnet rather than threads, which makes capping and uncapping a quick, quiet job. Michelangelo's signature runs around the band in high relief. On the reverse side, the Sistine Chapel's Creation of Adam appears in miniature, hands included, as a detail most people miss the first time. Inside, brass adds substance, and the pen takes cartridges or a converter, with a stainless steel nib up front.
