Pennonia × @nibsandflourishes Garden Delights Ink Set (30ml)

The Garden Delights ink set grew out of a handful of favorite flowers from my own garden.

Dahlias strut through the late summer garden right up to the first frost. They come in countless forms and colors, but the ones behind the pen and the ink bloom in sunset shades. Mine carry names like 'Labyrinth' and 'Belle of Barmera.' The blooms are huge, often with slightly twisty petals, and no two show the same color mix. Nothing else in the garden puts on that kind of drama. For the ink I picked a peachy tone that catches a dahlia in the morning light, and it pairs nicely with my new Dahlia pen.

Siberian Iris takes its cue from the irises that open all over my garden in late spring - vivid purple spots on graceful, slender stems. Like most purple inks, it works well with my Leonardo Fioritura Viola pen. These two sit beautifully beside the peonies and roses blooming at the same time.

Aster is a multi-shading periwinkle ink, drawn from the tiny star-like asters that bloom in a periwinkle cloud each fall. I adore them because periwinkle is unusual that time of year, a spot of cool color among the golds, oranges and reds of autumn.
