Caneta Tinteiro Tailored Pen Company x micahfinds Strawberry Cheesecake

My mother is the reason for this pen. She'd order a strawberry milkshake whenever it was on a menu, and her cheesecake could beat anyone's. Back in grade school I was terrified nobody would be waiting after class and I'd end up sleeping on campus, maybe in the nuns' care. Trusting in a steady, unconditional love probably started with her. Something as simple as being picked up from school, every single day. We'd swing through the nearby McDonald's, she'd get her Strawberry Milkshake, I'd get chocolate, and we'd share some fries. Birthdays and special occasions meant her cheesecake from scratch — no gelatine additives, no flour, the perfect crust, and that unmistakable sense of "home" in every bite. I'm older now, moved out, even engaged. It's these small things that take me back. This May, I want to celebrate all the mothers and mother figures in our lives. And if you're a mom yourself, I celebrate you.

Love,
micahfinds

Strawberry Cheesecake uses a blank designed by micahfinds, produced by Tailored Pen Company on their Cigar model. The look echoes the Cylindre style, except the body-to-cap transition is smooth rather than stepped. Cigar means rounded ends, with the body holding close to the same size along its length.

A strawberry artwork engraving sits on the stainless steel nib. Only 18 pens worldwide.
