The Quark Zirconium pocket fountain pen from Gravitas packs a full writing setup into a very small body. Zirconium is used for the cap, the body and the section, and the satin texture gives it a feel you notice the moment you pick it up. This updated version swaps in a blacked-out section and new ACME threads, so capping and posting both work securely without a rubber O-ring.

Posted, the Quark grows into a full-sized writing instrument. Light in the hand, with an ergonomically balanced section, it stays comfortable through longer writing sessions.

Double-start cap threads mean the nib shows after just 0.6 turns, and the cap threads onto the back in only 2 turns when posted. The 22mm-long section tapers from 9.85mm to 9.0mm and is machined from grade 5 material, with micro-machined grooves and a bead-blasted finish for grip.

A Gravitas-produced size 6 steel nib sits up front, compatible* with Jowo No. 6 threads and paired with an ABS plastic feeder. Nib options run Extra Fine, Fine, Medium and Broad.

When swapping for a different nib unit you are sole responsible for checking the fitment of the new nib - we are not responsible for any damages that may occur from the use of non gravitas nibs/nib units.

Eyedropper filling is an option too: the pen holds up to 1.5ml of ink, or you can drop in a standard international ink cartridge.
