Among the Gravitas lineup, the Pocket gets picked again and again. It's a small, sturdy pen that travels well. Body and cap are machined from 6061-T651 aluminum and anodised in a range of colors, while the section is turned from 304 stainless steel with a black PvD coating and micro-machined circular grooves that add texture and grip.

Cap threads are triple-start, so the cap comes off in 1.5 smooth turns, and a machined flat facet on one side doubles as a roll stop. Post the cap and the Pocket turns into a full-sized writing instrument with a comfortable feel in hand.

*Posting is metal on metal, so marks develop over time. That's not a flaw: this instrument is built as a functional utility tool, with looks a close second.

Up front you get a Gravitas-produced size 6 steel nib with an ABS plastic feeder, and the threads are compatible* with Jowo No. 6. Choose Extra Fine, Fine, Medium or Broad. A standard international small cartridge converter comes with every Pocket fountain pen.
