The Arashiyama bamboo forest sits in Kyoto, Japan. It's a calm 500 meter walk, with tall green bamboos swaying softly on both sides. RM and I went once, a few years back, and it's still a place we want to see again. Golden sunlight, birds chirping, the whisper of cold winter wind — that's the memory I keep coming back to.

Bamboo stands for resilience, strength and prosperity. Halfway through 2022, that's my simple wish for all of us. May your strength last, and may the universe bring more comfort, security and peace your way.

The world has opened up again, yet plenty of challenges remain beyond the pandemic — some outside us, some within. Nature keeps teaching us, all the time. This June (and for the rest of the year), I hope you can claim space to listen to the winds, the earth around you, and the voice inside you.

Arashiyama carries a blank by micahfinds, made by Tailored Pen Company on their Westminster model. Westminster is a classic pen shape with a sleek look. Its cap runs slightly wider than the body, and both ends are tapered and flat.

The stainless steel nib has a bamboo artwork engraving. Numbered edition of only 18 pens worldwide.
