Vermillion, worked the slow way. Namiki finishes this Yukari Royale body with non-oil lacquer using the Roiro Urushi Shiage method: raw lacquer is hand-rubbed again and again after polishing with special charcoal, and every pass deepens the color and pulls up more luster.

An 18K gold #20 nib does the writing, and filling runs through cartridges or the CON-70 converter that comes with the pen.
