Gravitas Sentry Fountain Pen Aluminium Bronze Alloy with Steel Nib

Gravitas built the Sentry as the bigger sibling to its entry-level model. It carries a little more weight than that counterpart, yet the balanced, weighted section keeps long writing sessions easy. Triple-start cap threads need only 2.25 turns to release.

Machined from Aluminium Bronze alloy, the 25mm-long section tapers from 13.25mm to 11.5mm and has fine circular grooves for grip. This alloy is prized for high ductility and thermal conductivity, and it turns up in energy, aerospace and marine parts like valves, high-strength bushings, gears, cams, propeller blades and shafts. The bare alloy looks sleek, though your pen may arrive with more or less patina showing (this is not a valid condition aspect for a call on warranty or considering it used - its a reversible process that you can address by polishing this pen with a jewellers cloth and maintain it shiny)

Inside sits a Gravitas-produced size 6 steel nib, compatible* with Jowo No. 6 threads, plus an ABS plastic feeder. Nib choices run Extra Fine, Fine, Medium and Broad. Each pen includes a standard international plug-in cartridge converter.

*when swapping for a different nib unit you are sole responsible for checking the fitment of the new nib - we are not responsible for any damages that may occur from the use of non gravitas nibs/nib units.

A jeweller's cloth now and then is all the bronze needs to stay bright.
