Gravitas Quark Pocket Fountain Pen in Ultem Resin

The Quark takes the pocket pen formula and shrinks it further. Body material is ULTEM resin, a polyetherimide (PEI) thermoplastic that also shows up in circuit boards, sterilisation of medical equipment and aircraft components. That strength, stiffness and broad chemical resistance are why it gets specified for demanding work.

Posted, this smallest-of-its-kind pen becomes a full-sized writer. Low weight and an ergonomically balanced section keep longer writing comfortable.

Cap threads use the new ACME double-start pattern, giving smoother capping and posting, more wear resistance and a better seal. Just 0.6 turns exposes the nib, and posting takes two. A 22mm-long section runs from 9.85mm to 9.0mm in width, machined from grade 5 material with micro-grooves and a bead-blasted finish.

At the front, a Gravitas-produced size 6 steel nib is compatible* with Jowo No. 6 threads and fed by an ABS plastic feeder. Take your pick from Extra Fine, Fine, Medium or Broad.

*if you fit a different nib unit, checking the fitment is your job. We're not responsible for damage that comes from using non-Gravitas nibs or nib units.

Fill it eyedropper-style for up to 1.5ml of ink, or seat a standard international ink cartridge instead.
