Built for people who write away from a desk, the Gravitas Pocket series stays small when capped and turns into a full-size, weighted writer once posted.

Among the Gravitas lineup, the Pocket is a favorite. Body and cap are machined from 6061-T651 aluminum and anodized in a range of colors, while the section is machined from 304 stainless steel with a black PvD coating and micro-machined circular grooves that add texture and grip. This upgrade series uses an ACME thread profile for capping — the feel of it is better, and the seal inside the cap is improved too.

Delrin lines the cap, and double-start threads let it unscrew in just 1.25 turns; a machined flat facet on one side works as a practical roll stop. Post the pen and it becomes full-sized, comfortable for longer sessions. The anodized, bead-blasted aluminum texture gives a tactile reward each time you pick it up.

A Gravitas-produced size 6 steel nib with an ABS plastic feeder drives the writing, compatible* with Jowo No. 6 threads, in Extra Fine, Fine, Medium and Broad. Each Pocket fountain pen ships with a standard international small cartridge converter.
