Small, portable, and easy to keep close at hand — the Dinkey puts the focus squarely on what it's machined from, and this one brings a material the Gravitas lineup hasn't offered before.
Copper sits inside the tungsten alloy used here, which gives it good thermal conductivity and plasticity. A satin texture sets off the grey colour, and there's a distinct metallic smell to it that people usually compare to a US penny. For a pen this size, the Dinkey Tungsten carries real heft, and that's what separates it from the rest of the Dinkey range. Polish it and the copper content recedes, letting more of the tungsten's grey, satin-like finish come through. (Polishing gives the alloy a grey satin texture; leaving it unpolished from the machine produces a shiny copper appearance.)
Scratches from posting are kept away by a Delrin lining inside the cap. Copper makes up the section, which has an o-ring at the barrel threading and is threaded to accept a Jowo size #6 nib unit (standard steel Jowo nib).
*If you swap in a different nib unit, checking fitment is entirely your responsibility — we can't be held responsible for damage caused by non-Gravitas nibs or nib units.
A Gravitas steel nib does the writing, in extra fine, fine, medium and broad, running on a standard plastic feeder. The pen arrives in a custom-designed plastic tube. Compact and sleek, with the balance of style and function worked out.
NOTE: This model does not work with eyedroppers.
