Diplomat Nexus Demo Fountain Pen with Aluminum Body and Ink Bottle

The Nexus Demo handles the boring part of fountain pen ownership for you. A piston-based system paired with a patented leak-proof cap seal means it travels well, and the ink capacity matches roughly seven cartridges, so refills come around far less often. Want to know how much is left? The large barrel window shows the level at a glance.

Writing feel matters, and the stainless steel nib moves easily over the page. That automatic seal closing system also keeps ink off your fingers. To fill, unscrew the front section and draw ink straight into the barrel with the pipette that ships in the box.

Heavy anodized aluminum gives the pen a modern look and real weight in the hand. Compact too — the cap doesn't post, which makes pocket carry easy. Diplomat has been building pens for over a century, and it shows in the fit and finish here. Packaging is an aluminum box with a bottle of ink inside, so gifting it works without extra wrapping.
