Abalone shell gives the Laban Oceana its color, and the sea is clearly where the design started. Real natural abalone forms the barrel and cap, then an intricate skeleton metal overlay sits on top — the layering is what produces that depth, and the iridescent finish shifts as light moves over it.
Two finishes are offered: Gold and Silver. Whichever you pick, each pen sets natural shell patterning against ornate metalwork, so no two examples read quite alike. Collectors and enthusiasts who care about distinctive design tend to gravitate here.
Oceana Fountain Pen Highlights:
• Natural abalone shell barrel and cap
• Delicate skeleton metal overlay design
• Luminous iridescent finish with unique color variation
Writing performance matches the looks. A stainless steel nib with silver-plating and an iridium point keeps the line smooth and dependable, and refilling works through a cartridge or converter setup.
