Japan marks the turning of the year with seasonal events and seasonal food, and the solstices and equinoxes get their own customs. Sailor built this Pro Gear Slim series around those four days, in soft pastel finishes.
Fuki (Butterbur) — the vernal equinox, when the warming weather brings the first plants up.
Tako (Octopus) — the summer solstice, when octopus is eaten with a wish for crops to spread out as plentifully as its legs.
Hagi (Bush clover) — the autumnal equinox, tied to the red beans in ohagi, which are thought to keep evil spirits away.
Yuzuyu (Yuzu citron bath) — the winter solstice, when a yuzu bath is said to carry you through the cold months without a chill.
Every pen carries a 14K gold nib and gold-plated trim.
