This commemorative Sailor fountain pen marks 115 years of pen making and comes out of a partnership with Higashihiroshima. On the city emblem, birds take flight beside a nib that stands for academia, a pairing that nods to Sailor's own history in the region. A 21K gold nib carries the special "115th Anniversary" engraving.
Momiji
The body is made from Japanese maple harvested in Hiroshima's mountains, polished until the grain glows. Momiji became Hiroshima Prefecture's official tree in 1966, and maple shows up all over local life, from the leaf-shaped Momiji Manju sweets sold on Miyajima to the work of artisans still turning the wood today.
Limited to 1150 pieces only! Each pen has a serial number laser printed on the barrel end.
