Prefer to build your own sparkle instead of buying it ready-made? Pennonia's Liquid Shimmer is a liquid additive you mix straight into any Pennonia ink, giving you colour combinations nobody else sells off the shelf.
Because it's a pigment, it will settle at the bottom. Stir the LIQUID SHIMMER BEFORE using the included mini-pipette, then add 1-2 drops to 5 ml of ink. Using 5 ml sample vials makes the mixing easier.
The lineup splits into two groups. Classic gold, silver and burgundy shimmer use standard mass-tone pigments; five interference shades sit on a silver base with pearlescent effects in yellow, red, violet, blue and green.
DISCLAIMER: shimmer powders are hard to clean out of a fountain pen. Pennonia tested each powder in different pens with M nibs and saw no clogging when the guidelines were followed. Mixing an excessive amount into the ink might clog the feed's ink channels, so use it at your own risk. Testing every pen on the market isn't possible, and Pennonia can't be held accountable for any damage to your pens. Whichever brand made the ink, inexpensive pens are the safer choice for any shimmering mix.
