Nacreous, iridescent, and genuinely natural — the Laban MOP starts with real mother of pearl. Resin lacquer holds it together in a barrel that feels harmonious in the hand, almost like a tiny universe resting there.

Laban's mother of pearl material has a long association with protection and with easing stress. Fine claims for a pen. What's certain is that the MOP build runs slightly heavier than most fountain pens, and that weight lends a certain prudence to the writing itself.
