Gravitas Flagship Aluminium Fountain Pen in Silver

Take the Flagship shape and size, cut it from a solid block of aluminum, and you get this Silver version: lighter in the hand than the stainless steel models but still an oversize pen. Cap, section and barrel are all machined from that one block, then anodized and given a bead blasted surface texture.

Beginners and seasoned writers both fit here, and the design keeps Gravitas's minimalist-industrial Bauhaus feel alongside the traditional torpedo outline. An ACME thread profile smooths the uncapping, and one full turn is all it takes — good news for fast note-taking. The 28 mm section tapers from 12mm to 11mm, with micro-machined grooves for a secure grip.

Silicon nitride top and end finials add a layer of protection where it counts. The Jowo-compatible* Gravitas nib comes in extra fine, fine, medium and broad, and each pen ships with a push-in standard international cartridge converter.

Posting isn't an option on the Flagship. Written uncapped, it feels very comfortable, and the aluminum body keeps the weight down compared with the stainless steel versions.
