Frosted glass, translated into a pen. The Kakimori Frost has a translucent polycarbonate body you can see through to the workings inside, and the shape and colour mix hold their own on a desk even when the pen is resting.

Two practical touches stand out: a longer grip section and a screw cap that comes off quickly when you want to write. Checking how much ink is left takes a glance, and refilling is straightforward.

The Frost takes standard European cartridges such as Pelikan or Kaweco. The converter that ships with it is made by Schmidt.
