Medical symbols do the talking on the Conklin Hippocrates. A glossy black resin body carries 18KT rose gold accents — the stethoscope, the Bowl of Hygeia and the rod of Asclepius — as a nod to the father of Western medicine.
Three writing styles exist in this collection: fountain, rollerball and ballpoint. The fountain pen here runs a premium 18KT rose gold stainless steel nib in six sizes, and the screw cap posts on the back end when you're mid-sentence. Rollerball and ballpoint versions take widely available refills if you'd rather skip the bottle.
It arrives in a luxurious gift box, which makes it an easy pick for a med school graduation or a gift for a practicing physician or collector.
