Steel, black PvD, and a fair bit of heft. Gravitas builds this Flagship from 304 stainless steel finished in black PvD coating, keeping the clean Bauhaus lines and torpedo taper the series is known for. It sits big in the hand and feels substantial, yet stays balanced enough to write with comfortably once the cap is off.
The ACME thread profile gives a better cap seal and makes capping and uncapping smooth — one full turn does it, which matters if you take notes on the fly. A 28mm section tapers from 12mm to 11mm, and micro-machined grooves give your fingers a secure hold.
Silicon nitride finials guard the top and end of the pen. Nib choices run from extra fine through fine, medium and broad on the Jowo-compatible* Gravitas nib, and a push-in standard international cartridge converter ships along with it in a zipped carry case.
