Tayabak is a shared creation with my daughter, Kali. A physically strong extrovert, and the explorer of our family. The one who likes to feel the earth and talks non-stop about her discoveries.
Tayabak (Philippine Emerald Jade Plant) grows natively in the Philippines, on the enchanted mountains of Mount Makiling. That meter-long turquoise bloom looks almost claw-like, which is curious, since flowers tend to feel soft and warm rather than spiky and cool.
Our shared love of nature lives in this pen, along with the curiosity that pushes us to find beauty in other people's idiosyncrasies.

Kat designed the blank, and Tailored Pen Company produced it on their Cigar model. The shape echoes the Cylindre style but differs in one way: body and cap flow into each other without a step. Rounded ends, with the diameter holding nearly steady down the length.
The stainless steel nib carries a Philippine Jade vine engraving. Only 18 pens worldwide.
