Platinum named the Procyon after a star, and this pen has a practical trick worth knowing: a Slip Seal mechanism inside the cap keeps the nib from drying out between writing sessions. The aluminum body carries silver accents and sits in the hand with even balance, so longer notes don't wear you out.
It takes cartridges or a converter, so you can start simple and switch to bottled ink later. The pen ships in a gift box, which makes it an easy present for someone starting out or adding to a collection.
