Blue translucent resin gives this Michelangelo fountain pen a cooler mood than its siblings, though the architecture of the pen stays the same. Facets are cut across the barrel, and as you rotate it the surface goes from deep to bright, almost as if the material were moving.
Look closely at the details. Michelangelo's signature is raised along the band, and the underside carries the hands of God and Adam from the Sistine Chapel's Creation of Adam. Palladium-plated accents keep the blue from feeling heavy. Under the resin, brass gives the pen its balance; the magnetic cap comes off fast, and filling runs on cartridges or a converter. A stainless steel nib does the rest. For anyone who reads art history and writes letters, this one earns its place in a pen case.
