Menge:
A legendary design from the 1930s returns as the Emperor Black Urushi, built for collectors who like their pens on the large side. The barrel holds a generous ink capacity and fills by eyedropper, so refills stay few and far between. Up front, an 18K gold nib handles the actual writing.
Look closely at the finish and you'll see authentic Roiro Urushi Shiage at work — raw urushi rubbed on and polished repeatedly with special charcoal until the non-oil lacquer surface goes deep and lustrous. The screw cap does the same ink-stopping job as it did on the original.
